M does so many little sweet things

like smiling faces on the lids of pill bottles of anti depressants

the pill dispenser saying "happy dayz" at the bottom of the inside

his love for me, shown
in the reflected sunlight
and clear windowpanes

positioned in the open door
sun on the back wall

my grandmother liked to thrift store shop
and since i spent alot of weekends with her i inherited that love

she wasnt adverse to buying something beautiful even if it had a chip or a tear

i remember the day she bought this little vase, because i helped her wash it, and as she swirled soapy water around the inside
the bird on the top began to sing
