passion

oh she was a seer now, a fortune teller, a prophetess, and a witch. had not every second sighted woman since medea been hopelessly in love with a man who could not see the light all aroud them? who had on his mind something else-- for example, the sea; for example , the mountain; for example, the finish line. hopelesness was something every seer paid in order to see, and not voluntarily, either. no one in her right mind would want to see any of this at all.
